Working Across Customers

Every BPP user belongs to one home customer workspace. Some users — an agency team, a group company, a consultant — also need to work on other customers. Instead of a separate login per customer, those users can be assigned to additional customers and switch between them from the header.

Who can switch

  • Users with at least one assigned customer see the switcher, listing their home customer and every customer assigned to them.
  • Users without assignments see no switcher: they only ever work on their home customer.

Assignments are managed by Bytek. To get access to another customer, or to change your role on one, contact your Bytek referent.

How to switch

  1. Click the round customer avatar at the top right of the header.
  2. Under Switch customer, pick the customer you want to work on. A check mark shows the one you are on.
  3. The whole application reloads on the chosen customer: audiences, signals, connections, fields and every other list now show that customer's data.

Each entry carries a tag:

TagMeaning
HomeYour own customer. You have your usual permissions there.
ViewerYou can open and read everything, but not create, edit or delete. Drawers open read-only.
EditorYou can create and edit audiences, signals, connections, AI models and fields, as a regular editor would.

The role applies only while you operate on that customer, and it replaces your usual permissions there — it is not added to them. Early-access features enabled per user, such as Reports or Profiles Sync, are not part of either role.

The customer banner

While you work on a customer that is not your home one, a banner stays under the header on every page:

You are operating on Customer name as Viewer

It cannot be dismissed, so it is always clear whose data you are looking at. Use Back to <your home customer> on the right of the banner to return to your home customer.

Good to know

  • Revocation is immediate. If an assignment is removed while you are working on that customer, BPP brings you back to your home customer on your next action.
  • Every switch is recorded for audit, including who switched, to which customer, with which role and when.
  • MCP credentials for an assigned customer can only be created with the Editor role, and only if you are already allowed to manage MCP credentials. A credential stops working as soon as the assignment it was created under is removed.
