Create an Audience
Steps
1. Open the audience form
Navigate to Audiences in the left sidebar and click Create Audience.
2. Name your audience
- Audience Name — choose a clear, descriptive name. Include the key criteria so it is easy to identify later (e.g.,
Prospects_HighScore_IT). - Enabled toggle — leave it off while you are setting things up. Toggle on when you are ready to start syncing.
3. Define your filters
Under Audience Filters, click Add Filter to build your segment conditions.
For each filter, select:
- Field — any attribute from your data: user characteristics, behavioural metrics, or AI model scores.
- Operator — how to compare the value (equals, greater than, contains, in list, etc.).
- Value — the threshold or target value.
You can combine multiple conditions with AND/OR logic.
Example conditions:
Segment = Best Customeraction_prediction_score >= 0.75pcltv_6m >= 100country IN (Italy, Germany, France)interest_iab contains Technology
4. Check the Audience Preview
As you add filters, the Audience Preview panel updates in real time showing:
- Estimated audience size — how many unique customers match your conditions.
- Identifier coverage — how many customers have a hashed email, phone, or other identifiers available for platform matching.
Use this to verify the segment size and confirm you have enough identifier coverage before adding destinations.
5. Add destinations
Under Audience Destinations, click Add Destination to configure where the audience should sync.
Google Ads — Customer Match
- Select
Google Adsas the Destination App. - Choose the Google Ads connection.
- Select the specific Google Ads account.
- Set User Privacy Consent to
Granted. - Map the Email field (required for Customer Match).
- Optionally map Phone for higher match rates.
Meta Ads — Custom Audiences
- Select
Meta Adsas the Destination App. - Choose the Meta connection.
- Select the Meta Ads Pixel.
- Map Email and/or Phone (at least one is required; mapping both gives higher match rates).
Anonymised — CRM Connect
- Select
Anonymisedas the Destination App. - Choose the Anonymised connection.
- Enter the Segment ID of the target Anonymised segment. The segment must already exist and be published in Anonymised before the first sync.
Note: Anonymised replaces the full member list on every sync. The identifier types and concatenation order are set at the connection level.
You can add multiple destinations to the same audience — for example, sync to both Google Ads and Meta Ads at the same time.
Each destination card shows User Data Coverage — the percentage of your filtered audience who have the required identifiers for that specific platform.
6. Save and enable
Click Save to save your configuration. When you are ready to go live, toggle Enabled on. This activates the daily sync schedule and creates the audience list on the destination platform if it doesn't exist yet.
Tips
- Aim for email + phone coverage in destinations to maximise match rates.
- Start with simple conditions and validate the segment size before adding complexity.
- Duplicate a working audience before experimenting with new filter combinations — this way your live audience is unaffected.
- Only enable an audience after confirming you have consent to send PII to ad platforms.
- BPP automatically normalises and securely hashes email and phone numbers before upload.
